Special Needs Arena

Special Needs Arena

Set around a peaceful landscaped garden area with a delightful pond and the sound of running water, our Special Needs Arena is where high demanding birds receive that special ‘one to one' attention. The majority of birds that reside in this area are receiving medication and dedicated services for illnesses developed in pet situations.

Residents to this area include Jacob (Blue & Gold Macaw) & Barney (Green Winged Macaw) who spend the day around our lovely pond.

Walk-Through Aviary

Walkthrough Aviary

This has to be the most popular aviary within the Zoo. A huge walk-through enclosure where you can get up close and personal with over 300 birds for both adults and children. Take a little bird food in with you and get mobbed by anything from a budgerigar to an amazon, or just sit and relax on one of the benches and watch the birds go about their everyday lives.

For
hygiene purposes we ask all those who have entered this aviary to use the facilities provided to wash their hands.

Bunny Village

Childrens Bunny Village

This is that special area for the younger visitors. Dozens of hand tamed bunnies that love to be held and cuddled by all ages, even the boys like this although they would have you believe differently! Situated close to all the amenities and surrounded by child safe fencing, this means you can grab that welcome sit down and drink of tea while watching the children enjoy themselves.

For hygiene purposes we ask all those who have entered this aviary to use the facilities provided to wash their hands.

NPS Picnic Area

NPS Picnic Area

Unlike other attractions not only do we not mind you bringing your own food, we have actually designed a place specifically for you to have a family picnic. Situated just outside the huge macaw aviary, you can lay and enjoy your food while watching a large flock of macaws going about their daily lives.

We have also provided family sized benches for you to enjoy your food on. For any special requirements or catering facilities please contact us prior to your visit.
