The day starts at 10:30 with an introduction to the Zoo and brief guide on health and safety then your day begins.

As part of a group of up to five people, you will be assigned to one of our experienced keepers, who will be your host for the day, he/she will guide you through a fun experience with a touch of education.

A number of essential duties will be down to you such as food prep - remember this is for over 1400 parrots so theres lots of it - then you are out there with them, some of the enclosures hold huge colonies of Macaw which can and does send an amazing feeling down your spine when they fly over to see what you're up to, there will be enrichment where you decide where to hid or plant the food to make it interesting. You may even have to do some maintenance work while in there with a little re-perching etc

Another major part of your day will be tendng to any of the sick birds that maybe in either recovery or in the hospital, sometimes sad but always rewarding.
